REET Syllabus 2026 FAQ

What is the difference between Paper 1 and Paper 2 of REET?

Paper 1 is for teaching classes 1 to 5, while Paper 2 is for teaching classes 6 to 8. Candidates can choose to appear for one or both papers based on the teaching level they wish to apply for.

Is the medium of the exam fixed?

The exam is conducted in multiple languages, including Hindi, English, and Sanskrit. Candidates can choose their preferred medium at the time of application.

Do I need to qualify for both papers if I apply for both levels?

Yes, a candidate must qualify in each paper separately to be eligible for the corresponding teaching level. Qualifying in one paper does not automatically qualify you for the other.
