TNPSC updates
TNPSC applications are filed online on tnpsc.gov.in within each notification's window. This page walks through the process, the document specs and the mistakes that cause rejections.

How it works
Enter your age, highest qualification and category — this checks against the 63 exams covered on KarmSakha. Always confirm exact eligibility on the official notification before applying.
TNPSC applications require One-Time Registration (OTR) on tnpsc.gov.in; each group notification (Group 1, Group 2/2A, Group 4 and departmental exams) is then applied to from the OTR account within its window.
Applications are verified against original documents much later in the cycle — an error casually entered in the form can disqualify an otherwise-selected candidate at verification.
Keep scans ready before you start: photograph and signature to the prescribed size and background, plus qualification, date-of-birth and category certificates as per the notification.
Names and dates must match your certificates exactly — mismatches are the single most common verification failure.
Pay the fee through the portal's official gateway only, and treat the downloadable confirmation page as your proof of application.
If Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission provides a correction window, use it to fix errors early — after it closes, the form is frozen for the cycle.

Common questions
Yes — One-Time Registration on tnpsc.gov.in is a prerequisite, and it stays valid for years once completed, covering every subsequent notification.
Core OTR details can be updated between applications, but details frozen into a submitted application follow that notification's correction rules.
Many TNPSC posts require Tamil-medium eligibility or a qualifying Tamil paper — check the language requirement in the specific group notification before applying.
