An exciting opportunity has been announced by the North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC) with the addition of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position (Post Code JRF-04) as an addendum to their advertisement No. NESAC/RMT-TEMP/02/2020 dated February 15, 2021. This single vacancy is for a project focusing on forecasting severe storms and lightning over the NER of India. Candidates with an M.Sc. in Physics, Mathematics, Atmospheric Science, or related fields with NET/GATE, or an M.Tech in relevant disciplines, are eligible to apply. Desirable qualifications include knowledge of Numerical Weather Modeling and programming languages. This contract position offers a chance to contribute to significant research in space applications. Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Physics/ Mathematics/ Atmospheric Science/ Space Science/ Atmospheric Physics/ Physical Science or equivalent with NET/GATE or equivalent; OR M.Sc in Physics/ Mathematics/ Atmospheric Science/ Space Science/ Atmospheric Physics/ Physical Science or equivalent with N-JET in Atmospheric Science specialization; OR M.Tech in Physics/ Atmospheric Science/ Space Science/ Atmospheric Physics/ Physical Science or equivalent. Desirable Qualification: Knowledge on Numerical Weather Modeling, Programming languages like MATLAB, FORTRAN, PYTHON, etc. Age limit, experience, and other details will be as per the original advertisement dated 15.02.2021.
