Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Physics for DRDO Project

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Physics at IIITDM Kancheepuram, a deemed university and Institute of National Importance. The position is purely contractual, initially for one year with possible extension up to 1.6 years, under the DRDO-sponsored project titled 'Development of SiCx Thin Films for MEMS Devices in Harsh Environments'. The work involves deposition and analysis of structural and mechanical properties of SiCx thin films. The stipend is Rs. 37,000/- per month plus 30% HRA if accommodation is not provided. Selection will be based on a written test and interview. Candidates must hold an M.Sc. in Physics, Applied Physics, Material Science, Optoelectronics or M.Tech in relevant disciplines. Preference will be given to GATE/UGC/CSIR qualified candidates with experience in thin film deposition and characterization.
