International Visiting Faculty Program at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India's top-ranked university, offers a short-term International Visiting Faculty Program for foreign faculty members across all departments and centres. The program duration ranges from 90 days to 1 year. Applicants must identify a host faculty member at IISc. Selected visiting faculty will receive a monthly emolument equivalent to IISc faculty: ₹100,000 for Assistant Professors, ₹150,000 for Associate Professors, and ₹200,000 for Professors. Round-trip travel expenses to Bangalore are covered, with potential support for an additional trip after 90 days. On-campus accommodation is available at the Centenary Visitors House on a payment basis. Applications must be submitted by the host faculty to the Chair of the Office of International Relations (OIR) and include a covering letter, detailed CV with publications, and a proposed visit program.
