Mizoram Public Health Engineering Department (Group B posts) Recruitment Rules, 2024

The Mizoram Government has issued updated Recruitment Rules, 2024 for the posts of Chemist and Bacteriologist under the Public Health Engineering Department. These rules supersede the earlier 2009 notifications and define the method of recruitment, eligibility criteria, pay scale, qualifications, age limits, and other service conditions. The posts are classified under Group 'B', Non-Gazette, Non-Ministerial in Level-8 of the Pay Matrix (₹44,900 – ₹99,800). Recruitment is to be done through 75% direct recruitment and 25% promotion. Candidates must possess relevant bachelor's degrees, basic computer knowledge, and Mizo language proficiency at middle school level. The age limit is between 18 and 35 years, with a two-year probation period for direct recruits. The rules also include provisions for training, disqualifications related to marital status, relaxation of rules, and transfer powers.
