National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM-K), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, has announced a faculty vacancy for the position of Professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology. This is a regular post reserved for SC category (backlog). Eligible candidates must possess a PhD in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field, along with a first-class Master’s degree (60% and above). Essential qualifications include either (A) an eminent academic record with at least 10 peer-reviewed publications, a research score of 120, and 10 years of teaching/research experience including doctoral guidance, or (B) an outstanding professional with PhD and 10 years of industry/relevant experience with documented contributions. Desirable experience includes product development, pilot plant management, curriculum design, and industrial R&D. Applications must be submitted online via https://niftemrec.samarth.edu.in/ by 10.03.2026. SC candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of ₹500; PwD and female candidates are exempt. Shortlisting will be based on UGC 2018 norms, and final selection will be through interview. Candidates must upload clear, readable documents including photo, signature, and certificates in specified formats.
