Notice for Claim Submission Regarding Seized Vehicle TR02E-1782 for Illegal Timber Transportation

A Bolero Maxi Truck (Registration No: TR02E-1782) was apprehended by the Forest Protection Unit, Teliamura, on 26.10.2024 during a patrol in Shantinagar (Kalyanpur) for illegally transporting 1.019 cubic meters of sawn timber without valid documentation such as GP-TP, hammer impression, carrying license, or prior permission from the competent authority. The driver fled the scene. The vehicle and timber have been seized under the Indian Forest Act, 1927, and are under safe custody at the Teliamura Range Office. The legal owner or authorized representative must file a claim with supporting documents within 30 days from the date of the notice (issued on 18 December 2025), failing which the vehicle and seized produce may be confiscated ex-parte. This action is taken under the powers conferred by Forest Department notifications dated 09/06/1987 and 12/02/2015, and Section 52(A)(2) of the Indian Forest (Tripura Second Amendment) Act, 1986.
