Workshop on Two-Phase Flow Modelling and Sediment Transport using OpenFOAM

The SPARC-sponsored 5-day workshop on 'Two-Phase Flow Modelling and Sediment Transport using OpenFOAM' will be held at IIT Mandi from February 23 to 27, 2026. It aims to provide comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical computational experience in multi-phase flow systems, discretization methods, turbulence modeling, granular rheology, and sediment transport. The workshop includes hands-on sessions with OpenFOAM, led by national and international experts from India and France. It is designed for post-doctoral scholars, research scholars, postgraduate students, faculty, research scientists, and industry professionals working in or interested in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and sediment transport modeling. The program includes lectures, lab sessions, and access to institute facilities. Registration is limited and must be completed by February 15, 2026. On-campus accommodation is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration fee covers the welcome kit, meals, Wi-Fi, participation certificate, and computer lab access.
