Project Associate-I at BRIC-IBSD Imphal under DBT-funded Project on Black Scented Rice

The BRIC-Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, is inviting applications for the post of Project Associate-I for the project titled 'Improvement of grain quality of black scented rice Chakhao (Oryza sativa L.) by CRISPR-Cas System'. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project, which is funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT). The role requires an M.Sc. or M.Tech. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Botany, Zoology, or Agricultural Sciences. Desirable skills include hands-on experience in plant molecular genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, and gene editing. The fellowship ranges from ₹25,000 to ₹31,000 per month plus HRA, depending on eligibility through NET/GATE or other national-level exams.
