The Department of Chemistry at IIT Roorkee is seeking qualified candidates for a Research Associate (RA-1) position in a DRDO-funded project titled 'Azoles Based Fused-ring and Methylene Bridged Energetic Compounds'. The role involves synthesis, characterization, and evaluation of energetic properties of heterocyclic compounds. The position is for 36 months, extendable based on performance, with a salary of Rs. 58,000 per month plus 10% HRA. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in synthetic organic/inorganic chemistry, with preference given to those experienced in energetic materials. Selected candidates may be required to work at High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL), Pune during the final six months.
