The Department of Personnel, Chandigarh Administration, has issued instructions to all Administrative Secretaries and Heads of Departments to accelerate the process of framing or amending Recruitment Rules (RRs) for their respective posts in accordance with the Central Government pattern. This follows the implementation of the 'Union Territory of Chandigarh Employees (Revised Pay) Rules, 2023' notified on 29.03.2023. Previously, pre-01.04.2022 Recruitment Rules were allowed to remain operational for direct recruitment, promotion, and deputation until new rules could be finalized. Departments are now urged to complete the harmonization of their Recruitment Rules with central standards and ensure dissemination of these instructions to all concerned officials. A copy has also been sent to the Director of Information Technology for publication on the official website.
