Vacancy for Motor Transport Fitter (SC) on Direct Recruitment Basis - Indian Coast Guard

The Indian Coast Guard Region (A&N), Port Blair has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Motor Transport Fitter under the Scheduled Caste (SC) category. This is a direct recruitment with one provisional vacancy. Candidates must possess matriculation or equivalent qualification and a minimum of two years of experience in an automobile workshop. An ITI diploma in a relevant trade is desirable. The selection process includes a written test (80 marks, 1 hour, multiple choice) comprising General English, General Knowledge, Simple Maths, and trade-specific questions, followed by a qualifying trade/skill test. SC candidates must secure at least 45% in the written test, while others require 50%. The pay level is Level-02 in the Pay Matrix (Group 'C', Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial). The upper age limit is 27 years, relaxable up to 5 years for SC candidates as per government norms.
