The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) has issued Notification No. 48/2017 for the recruitment of 1857 Forest Beat Officers in the Forest Department (EFS&T). The recruitment is open to candidates aged between 18 and 31 years (as of 01/07/2017), with age relaxations for reserved categories. Applicants must have passed Intermediate or equivalent from a recognized board. Physical standards include minimum height (163 cm for men, 150 cm for women), chest measurements, and normal eyesight. A walking test (25 km in 4 hours for men, 16 km for women) is part of the selection process. NCC certificate holders receive bonus marks. The written examination is likely to be held on 29/10/2017. Applications were accepted online from 21/08/2017 to 12/09/2017 via the TSPSC website after One-Time Registration (OTR). Hall tickets were available 7 days before the exam. The pay scale is ₹16,400 – ₹49,870.
